President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has collaborated with Astranis and Orbits to improve the Philippines’ internet connectivity in remote areas.

On Wednesday, the Orbits and Astranis have collaborated to bring internet connectivity in remote areas in the Philippines through MicroGEO satellites which will cover up to 10 million users and 30,000 barangays.
It is also said that this program will create more than 10,000 jobs for direct and indirect employees and partners.
The collaboration will send out the first two satellites dedicated to the country through a program that is expected to generate USD 400 million in the next eight years.
Jose Manuel Romualdez, the Philippine Ambassador to the United States, has named the first satellite “Agila” in an effort to promote innovation in technology and fortify international alliances.
