The recently concluded Computex 2017 has been all sorts of exciting for techies all over the world. This is the time of the year that big computing companies like ASUS, Acer, MSI, and other brands announce and display their newest products for everyone to see.
This year, ASUS has introduced a slew of new machines (including a Wi-Fi router that looks like a bladeless fan and new tablets) but this short article compiles our top picks from the Taiwanese company. Let’s begin!

ASUS Zenbook Flip S
Headlining the list is the Zenbook Flip S. It is the company’s latest convertible offering to the consumer market and is the thinnest one yet. At 10.9mm thin, the 13-inch Flip S certainly has a smaller footprint than other 13-inch convertibles.
Its display is called “NanoEdge” showing minimal bezels while the body is equipped with a “liquid-crystal-polymer fan” at just 0.3mm. It also supports the ASUS Pen. Specs-wise, it will sport up to an Intel Core i7 chip, up to 1TB SSD and a 4K touch display. On the downside, it’ll boot Windows 10 S.
ASUS Zenbook Pro
ASUS has finally unveiled its latest update to the ZenBook Pro line with beefier specs and premium design. The ASUS ZenBook Pro UX550 sports a 15.6-inch 4K UHD NanoEdge touchscreen with Intel Kaby Lake processors and up to the latest NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti graphics packed with 4GB DDR5 VRAM. The notebook measures 18.9mm thick and weighs 1.8kg, making it pretty portable for its class.
It’ll also have up to 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD, Thunderbolt 3, and one-touch login with Windows Hello. The quad-speaker are also present here and is tuned by Harman Kardon. ASUS also brags about its 14-hour battery life.
ASUS VivoBook Pro 15
Joining the new batch of ASUS notebooks is a 15-inch powerhouse that doesn’t cost much as other laptops in its class. The ASUS VivoBook Pro 15 is a 15.6-inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core processor with up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics.
Its display sports a resolution of 4K UHD with 100% sRGB color gamut. It also packs in powerful speakers from Harman Kardon, a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello, and support for ASUS Pen as well.
ASUS VivoBook S
Apart from premium notebooks, ASUS also announced an affordable option that doesn’t skimp on premium design. This is the ASUS VivoBook S — a 15.6-inch Full HD notebook with a NanoEdge display for an immersive viewing experience.
The laptop is powered by the latest 7th Gen Intel processors, can take up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD + 2TB HDD, and features an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics. Making the laptop more premium is its aluminum chassis and it also supports Windows Hello for one-touch login.

ROG Strix GL702ZC
Moving forward, ASUS has also unveiled their latest gaming laptop which is powered by AMD’s new Ryzen 7 processor – the ROG Strix GL702ZC. It touts a 17.3-inch wide-view display with FreeSync and a Full HD screen resolution. Task processing is handled by an AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU and AMD Radeon RX580 graphics with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM. It can handle RAM up to 32GB DDR4 and storage is taken care of with either 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB SSD and a 1TB SATA SSHD.

ROG Zephyrus
We have the ROG Zephyrus. Gaming notebooks don’t have to be chunky to sport the latest graphic unit and that’s just what ASUS proved with this machine. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus is one of the first notebooks to use the NVIDIA Max-Q technology which lets OEMs put in a graphics unit in a slim laptop. The ROG Zephyrus just measures 0.7-inch at its thickest point and weighs just 4.85lbs but it already has the NVIDIA GTX 1080 inside and the latest Intel Core i7 processor.
To keep things cool, ASUS has blessed the notebook with what they call ROG Active Aerodynamic System. The bottom of the notebook lifts out to reveal an exhaust port when needed and easily hides afterward. Also, its ROG Aura keyboard is front loaded with RGB backlighting.
