Canon S110 succeeds S100, with touchscreen and WiFi

Canon has announced its replacement camera for the highly popular S100. The Canon Powershot S110, while having the same core features as the S100, now comes with WiFi, GPS and touchscreen.

Canon has made some incremental updates on the S100. Most of it is focused on functionality rather than the capability of the optics.

Canon S110 specs:
12.1 MP CMOS; HS System with DIGIC 5
24mm, f/2.0, 5x zoom lens
4-stop Intelligent IS
Wi-Fi and GPS via Mobile
Lens Control Ring, Full Manual & RAW
7.5 cm (3.0″) touch screen
Full HD movies, HDMI-CEC

No detials on release date or final pricing yet. Those who stayed with the S95 and skipped the S100 might have a more compelling reason to upgrade now.

Hopefully, Canon will price this competitively. If that happens, I might upgrade to this one.
