EOS Rebel SL1 (EOS 100D): Canon shrunk the dSLR

Canon just announced the world’s smallest and lightest dSLR and calls it the EOS Rebel SL1. The body alone weighs a mere 0.9lbs and measuring 4.6 x 3.6 x 2.7 inches.

The Rebel SL1 will probably be known as the EOS 100D when it arrives in the Philippines.

18MP APS-C CMOS sensor
DIGIC 5 image processor
ISO 100-25600
1/4000 – 30-sec shutter speed
4fps burst shot
9-point AF
1080p video recording @ 30fps
3-inch capacitive touch display
SD, SDHC, SDXC support
Built-in flash

The Canon Rebel SL1 will retail for $650 (body only) or $800 with the new 18-55mm STM lens. Expected release date in the Philippines is April 2013.

I hope to buy this DSLR soon. I find my current Canon 1100D a bit heavy.

wish i could my kana-kana relatives would buy one for me. kaya lang, wala daw silang pera. ilang taon sila ibang bansa, wa pa rin silang ipon. pero tingnan mo sa facebook, namumutaktak ng gamit – the latest gadgets…nakalimutan na ko
