Microsoft releases guidelines for Android apps on Windows

Microsoft has released guidelines to install mobile or Android apps on a Windows 11 PC. First, users need to install the Amazon Appstore to be able to browse and install mobile apps from a curated catalog.

Microsoft is suggesting a recommended 16GB of RAM to run mobile apps on a Windows PC, while 8GB of RAM is the minimum required amount. A solid state drive is also required to run apps as well.

Users need to have a Core i3 8th Gen or above processor or a Ryzen 3000 or above chipset as well. Users can also use mobile apps on Windows using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8c or higher chipset.

After installing the Amazon Appstore, users need to find the Windows Subsystem for Android settings app that will appear in the Start menu and their app list. Users can then open the Amazon Appstore and browse the mobile apps in the store.
