IQOS unveils ILUMA i in the Philippines

Listen to article

PMFTC, the Philippine affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI), has introduced the IQOS ILUMA i in the Philippines, expanding its portfolio of smoke-free products for adults who continue to use tobacco or nicotine.

The device is the latest in the IQOS lineup and uses induction-heating technology instead of combustion, allowing users to heat tobacco without producing smoke, fire, or ash.

PMFTC said the ILUMA i represents its most advanced version yet, featuring a more intuitive design and tools meant to give users greater control over their sessions. Its launch also supports PMI’s target of generating two-thirds of its global net revenue from smoke-free products by 2030.

Among the major upgrades is a built-in touch screen on the device holder, which lets users check session duration. The ILUMA i introduces Pause Mode, allowing users to pause and resume a session within a specific window, and FlexPuff and FlexBattery, two features that adjust performance based on individual usage patterns. PMFTC says these improvements may give users a longer and more consistent experience than earlier IQOS models.

“IQOS ILUMA i represents the next step in our mission to deliver a smoke-free future,” said Gijs de Best, President of PMFTC, noting that induction heating has eliminated the need for device cleaning and reduces tobacco residue. PMFTC Smoke-Free Products Director Evgeny Ivanov added that expanding non-combustion choices for Filipinos supports the company’s push toward a nationwide smoke-free transition.

The device also incorporates recycled materials in its accessories, reflecting PMI’s ongoing shift toward more sustainable design.

IQOS ILUMA i will be available exclusively through IQOS stores and online channels starting November 21, 2025, followed by select marketplaces and authorized retail partners.

Additional product details are available on the IQOS Philippines website.
