Yahoo! Philippines yesterday presented several milestones they achieved will all the campaigns they did in the country from last year. Wasn’t able to make it on the presentation part but here’s some bullet-points they sent over today including announcement of 5,000 net cafes in their Yahoo! iCafe program.
What I ended up joining is the Yahoo! Top Chef/Iron Chef cook-off with other friends in the media. The challenge was to create a dish with the secret purple ingredient — eggplant. Our winning dish — chicken salsa rice toppings with eggplant torte.
Anyway, I asked Yahoo! Philippines GMÂ Jojo Anonuevo if it’s true that Yahoo! made $800,000 in ad sales in the Philippines in 2008. Although he declined to confirm this figure, he announced that Yahoo! has formed a team to do direct sales in the Philippines — an indication that online ad spend is growing in the country.
More about their announcements here.
I used to be suggested this website by way of my cousin. I’m now
not certain whether this post is written via him as no one else recognize such targeted approximately my trouble.
You’re amazing! Thank you!
It’s my first to hear this Yahoo! iCafe
Woot.. Sir Jojo! (Long-time no see, if you’re reading this)
ninong,
i saw you driving around glorietta/sm makati the other day.
Their office is in Fort Global City. Google’s office is in Singapore.
Where is Yahoo! Philippines headquartered? Makati? QC? Is it true that Yahoo!’s competitor Google doesn’t have an office in the country?
Wow. That’s a lot of money especially if its here lang in the Phils. But, good to hear online advertising improving na talaga here in the Phils. And aba! Cooking master boy yung labas mo ha. Congrats on winning! Haha :D
wow, thats great… adsense still better than anyone else
Yes, Jojo also mentioned they will do another separate announcement on YPN for the Philippines.
mmm thats good to know, i believe YPN ads do a little bit better than adsense sometimes?
