Apple tips to better iPhone 2.0 battery life

A page on the Apple website outlines several suggestions on how iPhone 3G users can save juice and make their iPhone’s battery life last longer.

Just read closely what Apple wants you to do with your iPhone.

  • Turn off 3G
  • Minimize use of GPS
  • Fetch new data less frequently
  • Turn off Push Mail
  • Auto-check fewer Email Accounts
  • Minimize use of 3rd-Party Applications
  • Turn off Wi-Fi
  • Turn off Bluetooth
  • Use Airplane Mode in low- or no-coverage areas
  • Adjust Brightness
  • Turn off EQ

Basically, they want you to turn it off and not use the iPhone to save on battery. Okay, now that’s really clever. *heh*

Perhaps the terrible battery life is a preparation for their upcoming – yet still distant – solar powered iPhones? ;)

Then again, just turning off the device is still the best advice! lol
