Uber intros new Uber rider app

Uber has announced a new and improved Uber rider app which aims to improve the passenger’s experience when using service.

According to Uber, the new Uber experience is reimagined around a simple question— “Where to?”. For one, the new Uber app learns from your routine and will provide “shortcuts” that predict where you could be headed.

There will be a new feature as well referred to as the “people are the new places” that allows you to input a person as your destination instead of a place. All you have to do is sync your contacts with the app, type the person’s name into the search bar and once they’ve shared their location, you’re good to go. For uberPOOL and uberX passengers, the app will display your ETA (expected time of arrival).

Lastly, the new Uber app will also show relevant data in your location such as train, bus, or subway departures, Yelp reviews, and Foursquare tips.

The new Uber rider app is rolling out globally on iOS and Android over the next several weeks.
