Huawei Honor 6 Plus vs. Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML

The upper mid-range price category (Php15k to Php20k) looks to be as interesting as the flagship category when you see new smartphones launched at these price points that sport 3GB or 4GB RAM, paired with powerful processors

Two of the more recent ones are the Huawei Honor 6 Plus and the Asus Zenfone 2.

The Kirin 925, which is the same chip used in the Mate 7 scored 43k in Antutu. The Zenfone 2 scored 45k on the same benchmark.

We jot down all the advantages of one over the other.

Zenfone 2:

  • 100% more internal storage
  • 33% more RAM
  • Better benchmark scores (5% based on Antutu)
  • Android Lollipop
  • More affordable by 17%

Honor 6 Plus:

  • 20% bigger battery capacity
  • Lighter, thinner profile (31% thinner)
  • Sony Exmor sensor
  • Glass and metal body

There’s a Php3,000 difference between the two (an amount that can be used to purchase a 64GB microSD card) but, in our opinion, both handsets are among the best in class in this price range.

So which one is your pick?

Ano ibig sabihin ng “Dual-SIM, 2nd SIM for microSD”? Kailangan isakripisyo yung external storage para magamit yung dual sim feature?

Huawei Honor 6 plus is quite heavy on the pocket compared to Asus Zen2, however Honor 6 plus has a more classy look and built. If I were to choose? I’ll go for Honor 6 plus!

Huh… a toshiba sensor, though on paper it’s on par with the Sony imx 214, ah well Asus is a better choice when it comes with Android Updates unlike Huawei which you have to search or pray for it.

Should’ve compared it with the 5.5 inch model of ZF2. Would choose the Honor 6 because of its slimmer profile and camera.
