An image of what is reported to be Sony’s upcoming phablet, the Xperia Z Ultra, has appeared online. Sporting a huge 6.44-inch 1080p display.

According to rumors, the Xperia Z Ultra will sport a 6.44-inch 1080p “Triluminos with X-Reality for Mobile” display, a 16GB internal storage with microSD support, an 8 megapixel rear camera, and a 2.2 megapixel front-facing.

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, Adreno 330 graphics, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.2 Jellybean with Sony’s skin on top. All of that in a body that is just 6.5mm thin and weighs 212g.

Sony Mobile has already teased the phablet on a press invite released just recently, showing the device’s side profile and a stylus. The invite says “Sony Mobile reserves a big surprise for you”, followed by the date and time when the event is slated to take place: Thursday, July 4th at 9:30. Below it is a handwritten text that says “Do not forget to mark your calendars!”

This photo with the kitten is the Xperia ZU :) It’s a photo included in Sony’s invitation in one event in China on June 25 ;)

  4. Whatever happened to Sony? since they started to reengineer their brand via “Sony Mobile,” they have not stopped releasing so many models. Haven’t they learned to NOkia’s fate? I’m a Sony lover, but I am so surprised how fast they introduce new models. Seems to me that everytiem they release new models, the predecessors are nothing but a failed experiment of their tech people. imho.

  5. pl. send me sony xperia z ultra’s cost + dilivery.
