How to activate your Sun Cellular MMS?

Just locate “The Mall” from your handset menu, click “Enter Mall”, scroll down to “Mall Assistant”, select “My Account”, then click “Postpaid” or “Prepaid” (please choose the plan option that applies to you) and perform the following procedures:

1. Click “Call Hotline” to connect to Customer Service.You may request the Customer Service Personnel who takes your call to activate your GPRS. (Note: Actual activation of your GPRS happens within 24 hours upon confirmation by Customer Service.)

2. Once GPRS is activated, you may Press “Handset Settings” to select the OTA settings you want to download.

3. Click MMS.

4. Choose the MMS handset brand you are currently using.

5. Press your MMS phone model.

6. The SMS notification “OTA Settings Sent” will appear on your handset screen to confirm delivery of the settings requested.

7. Save the handset settings sent to you via SMS.

8. Send a Multimedia Message (photo message/video message, content) to any of your friends. The first MMS sent will enable you to perform succeeding MMS transactions (whether sending and receiving). A welcome notification will be sent to your phone upon successful transmission of the first MMS content: “SUN Multimedia Messaging Service is now ready to serve you. Experience rich audio-visual messaging with SUN MMS.”

Sending images and snapshots from an attached or built in digital camera including ability to edit images and add text.

Individual Postpaid Subscription Application Requirements

1. Completely filled-up application form/s with landline number/s.

2. Valid ID – any one of the following maybe submitted:

* Philippine Passport
* Philippine Driver’s License
* SSS/GSIS ID with picture (ATM card type)
* TIN ID with picture (ATM card type)
* Company ID (only for the Top 5000 Corporations)
* Locally-issued major credit card with picture
* Membership card with picture (Exclusive clubs only)
* Professional Regulatory Commission’s (PRC) ID
* Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
* Firearms License

3. Competitor Bill

* Account must be current and must not have any overdue balance. Subscribers must have been with the competitor network for at least six (6) months at the time of application to Sun Cellular.

If Competitor Bill is not available, the following must be submitted together with the valid ID and completely filled-up application form with landline number/s.

A. Proof of Billing – Any one of the following (most recent and paid if already due) may be submitted:

* Utility Bill (Electricity, Telephone, Water, Major Cable/Internet)
* Credit Card Statement **
* Exclusive Club Membership Bill
* Original/Official Bank Statements (mailed)
* Insurance Premium Statements of Account
* Notarized Lease Contract

B. Proof of Income – Any one of the following may be submitted:

* Last two (2) months Credit Card Statements ** (paid if already due) with credit limit of at least P25,000.
* Latest Income Tax Return/BIR Form 2316 with pay slips of the last two (2) half month pay periods.
1. Basic Gross Annual Income of at least P138,000.
2. Present Official Receipt to show payment of tax due, if any.
* Newly-issued Certificate of Employment and Compensation with pay slips
1. Issued by the company’s HRD reflecting employee’s income components, tenure, position and department.
2. Latest pay slips of the last two (2) half-month pay periods reflecting a basic monthly income of at least P11,500.
* Electric/Water/Telephone Bills-last two (2) months billing statements (paid if already due) with an average bill of at least P2,000 for the electric bill/P1,500 for the other bills.

** For Sun Shops only, credit card may be presented in lieu of statements.

How to Send an International Text Message?

This “How To” is for Sun Cellular subscribers only:

1. Go to the “Write Message” menu of your mobile phone and compose your message there.

2. Select “Send” from the Messages submenu of your mobile phone.

3. Input destination number, if you are sending to recipient not listed in the directory or scroll to the desired recipient from your address book.

4. Please remember to put a + sign, the designated country code, operator code, and mobile number.

5. Press “OK” to send.

6. Wait for the “Message Sent” notification.
