Samsung launches Gear S2 smartwatch in PH

Samsung has officially launched in the Philippines their latest smartwatch powered by Tizen OS – the Gear S2.

The Samsung Gear S2 comes in two models – the sports-centric Gear S2 Sport and fashion-forward Gear S2 Classic.

24-hour activity log (S Health, Nike+ Running)

250mAh wireless charging battery

The Gear S2 Sport is priced at Php13,490 while the Gear S2 Classic costs Php15,490. Pre-orders (only 500 units) are from November 6 to November 13 and will then be available starting November 14.

    i actually like this smartwatch by samsung. tizen looks more polished than its early version. i also got to try that bezel, and it is a joy to use rather than touching the screen. apps should be no problem, because come on, how many apps do we need for a watch anyway? tizen’s initial apps looks promising anyway, and the ones that users will really need.

    A bit expensive for a smartwatch that doesn’t run Android Wear. Problem with the Gear S2 would be limited apps.

    I saw it in silicon valley in glorietta and sm megamall cyberzone with the same price tag yesterday. I was looking for zenfone deluxe 128gb and bought it for P16500.
