Google 2001 खोज

Google के 10वें वर्षगांठ के सम्मान में, उन्होंने अपनी सबसे पुरानी उपलब्ध सूचीबद्धता को वापस लाया है जो 2001 की तारीख की है। Google के पास उस समय केवल 1.3 अरब से अधिक वेबपेज सूचीबद्ध थे और उस वर्ष में कुछ ईगो-सर्चिंग करना थोड़ा नॉस्टैल्जिक है।

2001 में "yugatech" के लिए खोज करने से मेरा पुराना वेबसाइट हाइपरमार्ट.net पर होस्ट होता हुआ मिलता है। यह एक "एनैंडटेक" का नक़ल था।

उस समय, .com डोमेन सालाना 35 डॉलर के थे, लेकिन कम से कम दो सेवाएं थीं जो फ्री बैनर विज्ञापनों (एक एड बार के माध्यम से) के बदले मुफ्त डोमेन देती थीं, जैसे कि NameDemo।

मेरी विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा होस्ट की गई पेज मेरा नाम खोजने पर भी दिखाई देती है और इसमें हमारे WireLess LAN परियोजना पृष्ठ को भी दर्शाया गया था। मैं 1999 में 2Mbps WiFi नेटवर्कों के साथ प्रयोग कर रहा था।

I tried looking for the website I made for my irc channel back in 1999. It wasn’t indexed. I wasn’t that aware yet of ways to be indexed. It was on a free domain back then. Hehehe. Thanks for the info!

ooh… Hypermart. I faintly remember looking into that hosting site back in 03 when I was searching for webhosts for my fansite. I eventually ended up getting a plan from a local webhost. :D

@Alwell: oh, fancy seeing you here.. hehe! I didn’t know heavenslair did not have its own domain before. ;)

My first site was a school project so naturally it would be hosted in geocities. That was… early 2003. Too bad. Tried my full name too.. I’m not “searchable” yet back in 2001. :(
