Google has introduced an experimental browser called Disco from Google Labs. Its main feature, GenTabs, uses a user's open tabs and chat history to understand their task and generate mini web apps to help with activities like trip planning or studying. It is currently rolling out in a limited early-access program starting on macOS.

Google Maps is getting a major upgrade with Gemini AI integration to make navigation feel more natural. Users can ask questions, report traffic, or add calendar events using voice commands while driving. The update also includes landmark-based guidance and an enhanced Lens feature that lets users point their camera at places to ask Gemini questions about them. These features began rolling out in the US in November 2025.

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is close to a deal to pay Google about $1 billion annually to use Google's Gemini AI model to upgrade Siri. The agreement would give Apple access to a custom version of Gemini with 1.2 trillion parameters to improve Siri's capabilities while Apple continues developing its own AI system. The new Siri version is expected in spring 2026, though the deal is not yet final.
