Multiple lanes along the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) will experience temporary closure from August 6 to 10 to give way for the LRT-1 Extension Project. In a social media post by the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), they announced that alongside lane closures, counterflow and stop-and-go schemes will be implemented along CAVITEX along the northbound and southbound lanes near the Parañaque bridge. Motorists passing through RFID-only designated lanes without valid RFID in CAVITEX will be apprehended starting May 17, 2021. As announced on the CAVITEX's official FB page, CAVITEX and C5 Link will apprehend motorists entering RFID lanes without valid RFID in accordance to RA 4136 or "Land Transportation and Traffic Code." Those who don't have Easytrip RFID yet are encouraged to have it installed through the installation sites or use the cash lane. NLEX Corporation has shared on Twitter that MPTC will be waiving toll fees on its expressways, specifically on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), CAVITEX, and Cavite–Laguna Expressway (CALAX) for a limited time. The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the toll fee hike for Segment 1 (R1 Expressway) of the CAVITEX. Additionally, the TRB also approved the collection of toll fees for the initial 2.2 km segment of the CAVITEX-C5 Link Expressway.
