5th-gen iPad 5 back plate poses for the camera, previewed

Just recently, we reported that a 128GB version of the iPad may be coming. We guess that the 5th-gen Apple iPad is just around the corner as the back plate leaks – and from it we can get an idea of what it will look like.

iPad 5

It shouldn’t be a surprise to most people that Apple will be using its new-found color scheme, seen in the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini. The photos suggest that the next gen iPad will look very similar to its smaller sibling. This includes the color, the thickness & the less tapered edges. The leak also includes the space for where the radios should be, which will definitely mean 4G capabilities.

sizes

Again, we played around with the aspect ratios and made size comparisons which led us to a conclusion that these images, if real, show that the next iPad will be at least 13.26% narrower & 3.5% shorter. If so, then that means the rumors of an iPad with less bezels are true. We did a render of what it may look like and it ended up looking just like an iPad Mini.

  1. I wonder why I’m not anymore excited with apple leaks

    • Too predictable these days

  2. hmmm… maluluma na naman ang “new ipad” ko lolz

  3. at mali ang rendered image ng yugatech.. nothing is changed.. only the increase in capacity..

  4. tanga na lang bibili nito for the price of $800 for Wi-Fi only and $930 for 4G..you can buy Surface Pro/MacBook Air for almost the same price level!!

    • eh kaso marami pa rin ang tanga so marami pa din ang bibili..hahah

  5. People are waiting for iPad mini with retina and not this juggernaut tablet.

  6. I think what Apple can do is set the price of both 10-inch and 7-inch iPads the same. Same specs in general, only difference is the screen size. With this, consumers will not perceive iPad mini as econo-iPad. Or probably it will only have a 10-dollar difference. iPad mini will become more expensive and iPad classic will be cheaper. Hehe!

  7. Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wished to say that I have truly enjoyed surfing around your blog posts.

After all I will be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!
