Acer isn’t waiting for Asus (Eee Box) and the rest of the gang to gain grounds in the mini PC market so it’s launching its own version this early.
Is there any more manufacturers can squeeze out of the mini PC market? Unless they’re targeting the LAN party-goers, you can do much with the already competitive desktop PC market. Even Apple hasn’t gone far with the Mac Minis (I even have this feeling Steve Jobs is almost ignoring the minis).
Anyway, back to the Acer Aspire X1200, see specs and shots below:

I was reading about this earlier at engadget and I said I’ll buy my little brother this one with the screen once acers ships this out here in the Philippines. I really like the pricing and the specs…

I also read on gizmodo that there are variants of this desktop that has the Athlon X2 4850e processor. It’s the most energy-efficient dual core processor out there, 2.5 Ghz at only 45 watt power consumption.
Here’s hoping Acer gets that here too. :3
