YouTube has a new search bar called Ask YouTube. Ask YouTube then scans their platform’s full catalog including regular videos and YouTube Shorts. The feature is currently available to YouTube Premium members aged 18 and above in the United States through youtube.com/new. The brand states that it plans to expand Ask YouTube to all users in the future. Alongside the new search experience, YouTube is also rolling out Gemini Omni to Shorts Remix and the YouTube Create app. YouTube has clarified that reports of 90-second unskippable ads appearing on TV were not intentional, saying the issue was caused by a bug. Earlier this week, several users reported unusually long ad breaks while watching YouTube on smart TVs, with some seeing ads that appeared to last over 90 seconds before a skip option became available. In response, YouTube said it does not use or actively test 90-second unskippable ads.
