Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer business division has been seen using what seems to be a tri-folding phone. Now, the CEO himself has confirmed that this device will be coming as early as next month.
Yu made the confirmation when he attended a delivery ceremony for Stelato S9, an EV car sporting a HarmonyOS-powered infotainment system. In response to a customer’s query about the tri-fold phone’s launch and availability, Yu simply answered, “next month.”
While key specs are still under wraps, this phone is expected to unfold into a massive 10-inch screen. We’ll have to wait and see whether it will fall under the Mate Series or an entirely different lineup.
Stay tuned until we get to the hinted launch in September.
