FAQ: Maya Black Credit Card VISA

Listen to article

In a surprise move by Maya, local digital bank is launching their very own Maya Black Credit Card this May 2025. Powered by VISA, the Maya Black card is expected to be rolled out starting today to a random number of Maya users after they update their app.

This is not the first time Maya released a credit card. Around May of 2024, the Maya-Landers credit card and membership card 98 was also offered to the public.

Here are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions we can answer as of the moment:

Q: How do I apply for the Maya Black VISA Card?
A: A banner or link will appear in the Maya app to get you to apply for the Maya Black VISA Card. For some users, you may need to update to the latest Maya app.

Q: What’s needed in the application?
A: Simply fill up the application form by supplying your current delivery address and phone number, accept the payment for the application and delivery fee and you’re set.

Q: When can I start applying for the card?
A: As early as today, April 30, for some Maya users. The roll-out might span a few days to weeks depending on the app store.

Q: What will be my spending or credit limit?
A: You will be required to put down a Security Deposit to your Maya Bank. This amount will be used as a bond for your credit card with 80% of this amount as your starting credit limit.

Q: How will I increase my credit limit?
A: As you use your Maya Black Card, Maya may proactively adjust your credit limit from time to time. This will be based on your spending habits, your regular payments and other information that Maya has about your credit history.

Q: What if I withdraw my Security Deposit?
A: Your credit card will also discontinue when you withdraw your Secutiry Deposit. Any amount unpaid in your Maya Credit card will be deducted from the Security Deposit.

Q: Is there an annual Membership Fee?
A: None.
