Ford Fiesta goes online: Grab one on Facebook

Ford Philippines gave members of the media a sneak preview of the of their new Ford Fiesta last night — and everybody went home with a brand new Ford Fiesta too.

They got the new car wrapped inside a big toy box so we can’t really get a closer look and take proper photos.

I had to literally put the camera lens smack into the plastic box to get a good focus. It was also a bit dark so we can’t make good use of our camera flash either.

I thought I’d go home with lousy photos until they gave us all a Ford Fiesta to bring home and shoot. Here’s mine:

Okay, it’s not really the drivable one but this 1:18 scale model does the job.

Ford put up 3 sites just for this — ConnectWithFiesta.com, Ford.com.ph and a Facebook Fan Page.

You can get one of these scale model of the Ford Fiesta by going to the Ford Facebook Fan Page here.

  1. sana makakuha din ako… did they told what is the price of ford fiesta?

    • @abeolandres: akala ko naman yung actual car! haha! nice!

  2. if ford releases this now mag compete ito with their mazda2.. dumb move by ford.

  3. abe, would you know how much is the price for this car?

and when would it be available in the market?

  4. kala ko naman ang prize eh yung mismong ford fiesta na.. hehe

  5. is it a hatch back like the getz or picanto? whats all the fuzz.

  6. It’s a hatchback but it’s a little bit bigger than the Getz or the Picanto. The Getz/i10, Picanto, Suzuki Swift are actually smaller than subcompacts.

This will be in the line of the Toyota Vios.

  7. Meron din upgraded version ang Hyundai Accent. It won’t be the cheap-looking subcompact anymore that we see on the streets mostly as taxis.

It’s going to look like a subcompact version of the the also new Hyundai Elantra w/c in turn looks like the compact version of the 2010 Hyundai Sonata.

In short, it’s going to look stylish-modern w.c will render the Vios and the City look old.

  8. hello abe.

a polarizer is one handy filter you’ll have to include in your camera bag. it removes reflections when taking photos of water, glass, etc.

it darkens and a better color saturation.

  9. Ford Fiesta is better than Mazda 2. Kung di lang ako nakabili ng Jazz kuha ako nung color green.

  10. why can’t just ford give out the specs, price and variants that will be available in the philippine market.

i asked ford people and they told me they don’t know? spill it out ford people. may mga taong kelangan mag decide na bumili ng bago na hindi na kaya hintayin yung september due to budget. if this costs like mazda 2 hatchback… ill rather go for a honda city or toyota vios

  11. i hope it’s with a sun-roof and a 5-speed automatic transmission. 5-speed and 6-speed is the name of the game nowadays

  12. sana pwd akong mag testdrive sa ford fiesta ang ganda tlaga kahet sa tv ang mura pah! hojo!

  13. Not often do I encounter a weblog that’s both educated and entertaining, and let me tell you, you could have hit the nail on the head. Your thought is outstanding; the problem is something that not sufficient individuals are talking intelligently about. I am very joyful that I stumbled throughout this in my search for info relating to this.
