Spotted on display at one of the store shelves at CyberZone MegaMall is the sleek Lenovo IdeaPad U110. This 11.1″ notebook came out in the US around May but has only been announced as early as April 2008.

The U110 is a slim one at only 0.72 to 0.88″ at the thickest base.

This model would definitely go head to head with the Php120k 11.1″ Sony Vaio T.

There are 2 battery types — a 4-cell 1750mAh prismatic battery or a 7-cell hybrid that claims up to 6 hours of battery life. The price at VillMan is Php99,900 and as shown in the photo above, it’s now down to just Php68,800. For it’s size, the Lenovo U110 is super light at just 1.13kg or 2.4lbs (similar to that of 10-inch netbooks out there).

  1. Wow, heavy at P68k. I can already have 3 Asus 1000HE with that budget.

  2. Wait, this has been available in the Lenovo store at Megamall since last year. I don’t think this is news anymore

  3. Is it really 68.8K? I mean the difference from 99.9K is too much.

  4. may i request that this site provide a highly recommended section please? and i hope not to be bias in favor of your sponsors. cheers!

  5. Good news: US price is higher (weird, I know)
Bad news: Dated specs and model set. I think also the timeline series uses newer LV processors, than this.

Overall: I would not buy this lenovo. And if you want one, buy in the US (free upgrade to Win7, waaaaay cheaper, better selection)

  6. i guess its not worthy.. i may choose macbook pro for this….. sexy and beautiful laptops / netbooks ?.. for what?.. for me I will choose performance than beauty….

  7. Glenn Santos – the newsy part is that it’s now down to 68k from the initial price of 99k. ;)

  8. *whistle* nice specs but at that price i’d rather get the core2duo 13″ acer timeline.

  9. how many karat gold are there inside?very high price…

  10. Whoah! That’s a lot of money! This is definitely too much for me!

  11. Recently i purchased. And i am very satisfied with this laptop. There are so many extra features i got like 3 USB ports, and express card slot, very bright and clear screen, Nice touch pad. Overall fantastic laptop.

  12. Which store in Megamall? I’m planning to get one. Went around Trinoma and SM North and they have no idea what a U110 is!
