Photo Contest: SE World View 2008

Get the chance to win £10,000 (Php800,000 in worth of a trip of a lifetime) in a photography contest by Sony Ericsson — all you need is a camera phone and some creativity.

1. World View is a global camera phone photography competition from Sony Ericsson. Log on to the World View website. Click on China and Asia Pacific to register to the Philippine site. Upload your camera phone images for a chance to win a Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot phone under The Philippine Star categories, and a trip of a lifetime in the global competition.

2. Only photographs taken with a mobile phone of any brand can be entered into the competition. Complete competition rules can be accessed in the World View website.

3. As the local media partner, The Philippine Star offers image categories under the general theme of “I @ life captured” to be announced in print every month. Entries to these categories are accepted throughout the contest period.

4. The Philippine Star will select a winner for each category to be announced at the end of the contest period. The category winners will each get a Sony Ericsson K770i Cyber-shot phone.

5. Readers can vote for their favorite images by logging on to the World View Philippine site.

6. Apart from the category winners chosen by The Philippine Star, three images from the Philippines with the highest number of votes on the World View site at the end of the contest period will each win a Sony Ericsson K770i Cyber-shot phone.

7. The four winners of The Philippine Star categories and the top three highest voted images will move on for global judging by end October.

8. The winning images from The Philippine Star categories are still valid for the highest number of votes.

9. Two winners will emerge from World View. First is the Sony Ericsson World View 2008 Judge’s winner, as selected by the distinguished board of judges. The winner gets a trip of a lifetime worth £10,000.

10. Another will be crowned the People’s winner, which will be based on the highest number of votes across the participating markets. The winner gets a trip of a lifetime worth £5,000.

11. Winners for the Philippines will be announced in November. Winners of World View 2008 will be announced in December.
