Cherry Mobile has just announced the successor to the Omega HD, the quad-core-running Omega HD 2.0 (CM OHD 2.0).

The Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 is similar to the two-month old Omega HD, only this time it is running quad-core processor clocked at 1.2Ghz and Android 4.2 Jellybean.

my sister have s4 gadget and i cherry mobile omega hd 2.0 i must say na the same lang sila mas maganda pa nga ang camera ng omega ehh parang pang slr sya kasi bsi auto focus at ung specs the same lang..ang binabayaran lang talaga sa samsung ehh ung brand nila..kung gusto mo ng cp na budget friendly at soxaling tngnan sa cm ka na lang kasi ako ive been using my phone for 8months pero mukha pa ding bagu at walang deffect ilang beses ko na rin sya naibagsak pero on good condition pa sya..

Just got one today.I’ve been testing it and so far it’s really impressive. Sinubukas ko wifi sa SM and ang ganda ng screen and picture quality. It’s surprisingly lightweight. I dunno if it’s a bad thing pero okay na okay. Resolution, picture quality. Di ko pa natratry downloadan ng mga apps. Kakailanganin ang extended memory dahil.

na-test q dn ito sa robinsons ermita and mganda nga ewan lang kung pangmatagalan ang gamitan kc pra saken ah basta may android fone ka dagdag na sa porma un khit anung brand na….. at para sa mga walang tiwala sa cherry mobile or other pinoy fones bili nalang ng samsung note 1 or 2 na slightly used sa mga muslim stores sa robinsons.

well before you buy, you should test the unit first. If you think that the phone they gave you is enough for you then go buy it, if not then ask them for a new unit.
If you buy the unit without checking it first then you go home with a dead pixel, you have to go to their technical support literally and let them change the unit to a new one. Pero check mo din.

Bago ka pumunta sa technical support nila wag na wag kang magro-root or else invalid na ang warranty mo.

Di nila ila-lazada to. Hirap na yung mga CM stores sa pag-restock ng OHD2.0 so di nila need ng online shop. Pinagkakaguluhan talaga itong phone na ito. :)

I’ve been a Samsung user for a long time now and I decided to buy Ohd 2.0. Because Samsung battery drains fast. Disregarding the mobile brand, I love my cherry mobile omega HD 2.0. With my previous Samsung which costs 16k, it would last up to 6hours only. When I used my cherry mobile 6hours of wifi , calls and text, games,picture taking and video recordings it is down to 55%. I’m more than satisfied. And to have these amazing specs for 9k. Its so affordable. Thank you cherry mobile because I got more than what I paid for.

Agree ako sayo possible yan at baka nga iyan yung OEM nyan, pwede namang ibahin ng CM yung camera pixel nyan kasi rebrand na ito, di naman natin malalaman kung 12mp nga siya..possible na 8mp talaga sya..

wala naman yan sa brand, pangporma lang ang brand, If a gadget can do what you wanted it to do and how you want it to perform, eh bakit bibili pa ng mahal, I was a user of Iphone for a long time and I was so stupid that i felt like I was scammed, overpriced and it’s not worth it… what happens after a month or two? wala nganga, sayang yung hard earned money, I work kasi eh. At the end of the day you’ll realize na you have to be smart when choosing your gadgets, syempre reasonable price and functionality — eto ang number 1 criteria ko.. hehe

Actually ang binabyran lng nmn ay ung brand kaya mahal ung iba cguro inisip ng cm na ang hanap ng tao ay mura at medio kapareho ng feature ng mamahalin at sikat n brand baka nga mas madami sila mabenta qng same specs na mura pa kahit iphone p yn kasi di nmn lahat kaya bumili nun may maymn dn nmn na prefer ung mga mura… for me kung mkakabili ka ng may better specs at mura go na kesa nmn mahal like samsung glaxy y to cm flare 5 to6 k ata un ng nagtanong aq pero ung flare mas mura pero better specs un nga lang pasosyalan ng brand talaga tayong mga pilipino. Pumangit lang imahe ng cherry mobile dahil kay willie revillame. Buti nlng walang free n will jacket sa cm haha

May factor din naman ang brand besides pangalan at porma.

Syempre mas matibay talaga relatively pag branded. Bibihira kang makakita ng Samsung Galaxy S3/S4 na mabilis masira or may factory defect. MAHAL nga lang. hehe.

As for CM Omega HD 2.0, maganda ganda rin xa ang I think medyo okay ang external build quality, pero may mga naka experience ng di maxadong maganda kaya tsamba tsamba lang tlga.

Sa mga balak bumili, I have two things to share:

1. If kaya mo pa taasan konti ang budget mo, go for slightly used branded phones instead para may peace of mind ka. Marami nagbebenta sa Sulit.com.ph

2. If swak lang budget mo, test before buying ka sa CM store. Wag mo tantanan ang phone at kalikuting mabuti. Baka may factory defects yan.

Balak ko sana bumili nito kaso sayang din ang 9K at may phone na ako. Kahit secondary phone lang sana for Wifi Hotspot/backup phone.

its not the name its the hardware uses of each brand. although the same ung ginamit nilang hardware may pinagkaiba. ung gamit ng mga branded phone like nokia sony samsung htc lenovo and other branded phone ay ung mismong ORIGINAL na piesa o Hardware,.
ung iba naman ang gamit nila ay ung class c or d siguro although the same hardware sila. kaya makikita mo ang pinagkaiba ng presyo nila.
tulad ng sapatos, ung mismong origianl u can buy it 5k to 20k samantalang ung class c or d 1k lang siguro.
nagbigay lang ako ng example para madiffirentiate natin.

Bumili nalang ang may pambili wag na mang away at manlait. Mabuti nga at may mga local brand para maka experience naman ng mga latest gadgets yung mga di maka bili o nanghihinayang bumili ng mga overpriced gadgets.

Wawa nmn alcatel, ndi pa nga naddisplay unit nla sa shelves andme na kgad lumabas na pang tapat sknla specialy 4 d scribe hd. Sna babaan pa nla ng konti price nla pra mbura na sa market yng mga siraan na unit ng mga rebranded phones na yan!

Imbes kc na babaan nla ung price eh lalo png tinaasan, d2 sa mga reviews n blogs eh p13,490 ang srp, pro nung nag ask ako sa kiosk nla sa southmall eh p14,990 daw tpos wla png demo unit, ayaw pa ptignan n pa open kung ndi ka bbili on d spot.. tsk2..

Ang mga tao lang na may ‘utak lamok’ ang magsasabing hindi mahalaga ang after sales service especially for mobile phone. eh kung masira eh di wala ka na. Also, easy update capability for the OS is important.

FYI, the only advantage of Starmobile and MyPhone compared to Cherry Mobile are:

1) the Android firmware implementation – CM’s android implementation has app incompatibility issues, memory issues, battery issues, storage issues, slow multitasking issues, slow wifi issues, lost apps, etc… test and compare para mapanutunayan;

2) Quality control – daming returned unit ng CM bcoz of factory defects… ba’t di nila check thoroughly the unit before shipping;

3) After sales service – di maganda ang after sales ng CM period.

Tatlo lang naman ang titingnan mo kung bibili ka ng China rebrand eh…

1. DEAD Pixels
2. Battery Charging / Discharging efficiency
3. Faulty spot/s sa touchscreen

As for Aftersales support…I don’t know kung tinitingnan pa ng buyers ‘to nowadays…Pinoys love to gamble lalo na pag mura

they should have tried to at least increase the battery life of this quad-core phones ,2100 mAh is already alot of juice, but for sure Ohd2 will drain faster than Ohd1 :),, duhh still a thumbs up for CM! keep it up XD

WOW! Cherry Mobile? Company is making a smart move among other companies especially its main competitor MyPhone? which, their latest flagship phone, the A919i is a success hit. But nonetheless this phone is the answer to them.
Personally, I rather choose CM OHD 2.0 over MPA919i Duo because mainly of its camera and the new version of Android (w/c is 4.2) . The MediaTek MT6589 chipset and PowerVR SGX544MP GPU is similar to that found on myphone A919i. Along with 1GB of RAM and so on… (they have pretty much the same specs overall except for the above mention).
for the PROS and CONS here:

Myphone a919i DUO?:
PROS:
-Battery efficient chipset
-Optimum performance of both CPU and GPU
-HD screen (720p)

CONS:
-only 8MP camera (compared to 12MP — OHD and Starmobile Diamond)
-Android 4.1
-Price (SRP. 9,590php)

Cherry Mobile Omega HD? 2.0:
PROS:
-Camera (12MP BSI)
-Android 4.2 (improved camera UI and bugfixes)
-Battery efficient chipset
-Optimum performance of both CPU and GPU

CM has this thing.
Starmobile has their 18MPr+8MPf monster.
MP will probably do price cuts to A919i.
O+ has their 8.15 and the Eat Bulaga thing.

Now just name me whose camera is the best camera (And probably aftersales support as well)

well looking at the specs of the iq-6, the iq-6 is dual core to the omega hd 2.0’s quad core. so is omega hd 1.0 = iq 6 and omega hd 2.0 = some other model? iq 6.1 maybe???

Research ka kasi muna bago magsalita. Even the CM Flare is capable of HSDPA connection, how much more this one. Besides, not everyone understands HSPA/HSDPA/HSUPA, but many know what 3G is, that’s why it’s what they put on the spec sheet. Besides, di naman din ganun karamdam yung HSDPA/HSUPA dito sa atin.

Kung hindi poh ako nag kakamali.. wala naman problema sa instalation ng games specially in CM HD2.0.. my Int Storage in my CM HD2 is almost 700MB but still nakakapag install pa ako games pero wala naman ako problema.. i think kung malaki requirement ng games dun siguro pero kung kaya pa naman ng storage ng phone.. malamang hindi…

given the 9k price point of the OHD 2.0… it puts to shame everything in its bracket. the a919i reigned for a very short period but spec, build and price wise, the OHD 2.0 is king. not gonna even mention starmobile if you’re gonna spend that kind of cash, i would recommend O+. not china ODM’s with premium pricing, dafuq is starmobile thinking?

This is Hands down THE BEST value phone at the moment…Dragontrail Glass, Superior Camera, BETTER design (without the pambukid na mapa sa likuran)

Mas gusto ko pa si A919i kesa sa ganyang phone na 2,100mAH. Sabog na nga battery ng Omega HD, what more pa ang QUADCORE na same mah. LOOL nalang ako.
