Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge now getting Android 5.1.1

We’ve been receiving report from users and readers that Samsung has started rolling out Android 5.1.1. Lollipop upgrades to all Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge handsets in the Philippines.

However, it’s only now that we’ve personally gotten the upgrade on our Galaxy S6 (open line) and Galaxy S6 Edge (Globe-locked) units.

The update is about 624MB in size and brings a lot of stability improvements, security features, UI enhancements as well as better performance.

The Android 5.1.1. upgrade also brings camera RAW support to the S6, just like the LG G4.

@Paolo, Ikaw yung ignorante brad. Kahit anong android version may RAW image support.
