Listen to article

Home Credit Philippines has revealed that it has already financed 2.5 million smartphones since January 2024, which means around 5,000 devices are purchased daily through its services.

At its recent event Future Focus: Building Tomorrow Together, the company shared that it has now served over 12 million Filipinos, expanding from just 33 customers when it first started in 2013. Today, it operates through 18,000 partner stores nationwide and employs 10,000 sales associates.

Smartphones remain the most popular financed product, with iPhone purchases hitting ₱10 billion in 2024 and projected to reach ₱20 billion by the end of 2025. Appliances such as refrigerators, TVs, and air conditioners also remain strong, with Home Credit financing over 1,400 TVs and 1,100 air conditioners daily at peak season.

Mobility is another growing segment. Since 2024, the company has financed around 70,000 motorcycles and e-bikes worth ₱4.5 billion, giving more Filipinos access to affordable transportation.

On top of financing, Home Credit also offers Home Credit Protect, which covers devices and even borrowers themselves. As of August 2025, the company has released ₱1.75 billion in claims and repaired or replaced nearly 70,000 devices under the program.

According to HCPH executives, these milestones show how consumer finance not only helps individuals but also supports the country’s digital adoption and economic growth.
