foodpanda adds QRPH payments for cash-on-delivery orders

Listen to article

foodpanda Philippines has introduced QRPH payments for cash-on-delivery orders.

The new feature, called QR-on-Delivery, allows customers to pay by scanning a QR code presented by riders upon delivery. Payments can be completed using QRPH-supported banking and e-wallet apps, including GCash and Maya.

According to foodpanda, the feature is intended for users who still prefer paying after receiving their orders while offering a digital alternative to cash transactions.

The company also said the feature helps reduce the need for riders to handle physical cash and prepare change during deliveries.

The rollout supports the wider adoption of QRPH, the national QR code payment standard backed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. BSP has been promoting increased use of digital payments as part of its push toward a cash-lite economy.

foodpanda said QR-on-Delivery is now being rolled out to users in the Philippines.
