  1. Nice SRP, compared to US$799 (lowest on US) but I hate to place a pre-order for this (1st batch) and something go wrong with it, again!

Still we’ve not forgotten infamous issues related to their first batch of Galaxy Tab Greenbelt-5 launch), however it didn’t happen to my unit!

But again, its SRP is a bit tempting and for sure I’ll keep an eye on this page for future update/s.

    Thanks

  2. I’m getting one. That’s for sure. Yuga, will this one comes with freebies like that leather pouch in S2?

    • @redmd – yes! plus a cash discount.

  3. Im waiting for this! Contemplating. :P. Yuga, is the discount THAT significant?:)

    • was once a patron of samsumg since the omnia days, but not anymore since they started this selective and biased treatment to its consumers. So lately, I got the optimus instead of s2 and the xoom over tab. Samsung, you lost a loyal customer because of your lousy marketing people in PH market :p

  4. tempting, kaya lang wait mode ako sa asus transformer prime isa lang kaya ng budget ko…na sana may pre order w/ freebies din kahit free dock nalang gaya noong sa asus transformer 1

  5. thats a lot of cash. ill wait for the quad core then.

  6. Sir yuga i cant visit the link it says The page you requested is not available.

  7. Good product!!! If you have the money , buy it. But if you don’t have and you don’t need it anyway, the simple and cheap phones is still the best, People are like, they spend the money they don’t have on a product they don’t need to impress people they don’t like, he he he.

  9. any news when will galaxy tab plus 7.0 will arrive in PH… thanks

  11. Sir abe, wala naman yung link (samsung page not found)

    • I guess that page will be up on November 15, correct me if I’m wrong!

“…special package that can be availed through an exclusive online offer on November15,2011”

  12. Available na nga eto sa samsung concept store sa Ali Mall at sa Berlien for only 32,990.

    • Sir, ang samsung concept store po ba ay official retail store po ng samsung like sa samsung mobile sa megamall? or is it like a small stall sa ali mall? at may alam po ba kayo bakit masmura siya sa SRP na pinost ni sir yuga sa taas? thanks po in advance

    • Are the boxes still sealed sa Ali mall? Saan sa Ali mall?

  13. gud day sir yuga, can u also spare some of ur time and offer your thoughts on Samsung Galaxy W (i8150). it is already selling in some cp stores. thanks!

  14. sana bumaba price after new year kht P28k.. bibili ako!! haha

  15. What’s the advantage of this one over iPad2

    • You can still put this inside your pocket, you will not look dumb when you answwer your phone:) and it can be held at your palm. This is a hybrid.

  16. paano naman kaya yung after market service nito? puwede kaya sa kahit anong samsung store? saka, saan gagawin yung release nung units? puwede bang cash? hahahaha

  17. Hi sir Abe! I don’t know if I missed reading about it in the blog above, but what’ll be the available internal storage mem for the first 300 units? Also, do you know if a white variant will be released along side the midnight blue version this Saturday?

    • It’s the 16GB model and just the dark color that will be available.

  18. May i know how can i pre-order this using smart postpaid plan 2k?

    • Does the pre-order starts on 12:01am?

  19. It is one of the most noticeable mobile phone this days.

  20. I’m just wondering what Samsung people are smoking over there!?

See what I was shown at their pre-order page, just few minutes ago!?

” You came to reserve a Galaxy Note? You came to early, please come back on November 11, 2011, 12:01 AM, Thanks you”

  21. Reserved one!

“The 600 units of Galaxy Note for this promo is part of the first 650 units shipment to the Philippines for this mode”

    • How can you tell? I didn’t notice a counter.

    • @ Joe, Take a look at your reservation code, its something like this, if you have reserved an open-line like me;

      SGN53OPEN-19-XXXX

Those last “X”s represents your number ;-)

    • I see. Thanks for the tip.

      #26!

  22. Number 16 here confirmed 12:45am w00t hurry us so I can play with my new toy hehe

  23. Number 16 here confirmed 12:45am w00t! hurry up so I can play with my new toy hehe

  24. If i reserve and NOT go at the venue, would my reservation be viable at any Smart Wireless? Or just specifically on that event?

  25. “Units may only be released to the CONFIRMED customers present during the SELLING EVENT.”

“The SELLING EVENT will be on November 19, 2011 between 10AM and 8PM at the The Podium, Mandaluyong City.”

Another regional discrimination of Samsung Philippines!

    • oo nga… napakaUNFAIR to those na gustong bumili at makaavail ng promo. :(

  26. Reserved and printed out the copy! ha! Have I done the right thing? =|

    • Yes, that’s the way to go! Open-line pre-orders can be claimed by a print-out of your confirmation (where you can see your reservation code) plus a valid ID, same thing when I got my Galaxy Tab few months ago.

  27. Please, fix the comment sections. Was posting twice and still deferred. “Anti-spam defense”?

Anyway, got my reservations and asked myself after, Did i just do the right thing? and Yes Promdi, Regional discrimination sucks. Poor us! =(

  28. I tried to reserve at 1205AM. I got to the page where it is asking you to check the confirmation email. Until now I still haven’t received the email.Dahil kaya sa Gmail ang ginamit ko?

    Bad trip. sayang puyat ko.

    • I also reserved very early (12:01) and I did use a Gmail address and got it instantly, it didn’t even go to my “Spam” folder, it was right in the “Inbox”. you may want to try it again or use another email or double check your email as you type it ;-)

  29. Gmail din ginamit ko na email but I recieved the email right after I submitted the form. Kindly see to it na tama inilagay mo na email address (ex. your_e****@****.***).

  30. i first tried to reserve 1201AM using hotmail, no email confirmation arrived. did another one using gmail, none as well. reported to samsung. slept. a few minutes ago I tried again using work email — success! #65 open line

  31. I’m #66 Woohoo!!! getting this great device. This for me is “THE ONE” mobile device for my needs. =)No need bringing note pads during meetings haha. Cheers

  32. tried gmail, my pldtdsl.net email and my work email, still no confirmation letter. ayaw yata talaga sa akin.

    • Still can’t you get in!? Weird!
It may sound more funny if I offer you to do the reservation on your behalf and email you its screenshot (confirmation-email/reservation-code) so you can print it out, but still it’s a doable process if you are still planing to get this bad-boy but having difficulties with the email thingy. In that case, just let me know ;-)

  33. I still haven’t received the confirmation email…

  34. Finally got my confirmation email around 12NN. But this was for the reservation wherein I used my pldt email address. No replies from my gmail ones.

    buti na lang inulit ko

  35. oh nooo, im too late for the reservation :(( is there any chance that they would open the reservation again? or do I have to wait until the note is openly sold for the public?

  36. Reservation is off. Too late for me. So what I want to ask is this Smartphone is for Smart only, not open-line?

  37. So it seems promo has ended in less than 24-hours, quite faster than Galaxy Tab which they didn’t receive this much interest and barely half of their 300 units were reserved.

    • why would they end it early? is the 300 units sold out already?

    • Q> is the 33,990 0% interest for 6 mos just like 10.1 inch galaxy tab?

    • It appears that turnout for Galaxy Note pre-order (650 units) has been much higher compared to what we saw for Galaxy Tab (~300 units), I do remember that Galaxy Tab pre-order page was up and running till 72-hours after its launch!

Regarding the credit card scheme, I hope it’s the same and I/we can purchase it for 6-months, zero-interest term while still availing that sweet 2,000 Php discount and receiving other freebies!

    • I think the pre-order of 10.1 inch galaxy has 700 units. If the note pre-order page ends 24 hrs does this mean 600 units sold(I think not with its price point)? Its impossible and what will samsung do with the remaining units if they’re not sold out.

    • Maybe after they reached to 300 for “Note” they stopped the offer and kept the other 300 units for replacement and warranty claims based on their “Tab” launch experience!! JK!

Also, offered price is high but not that high compared to other Internationale markets.

In other note, many who were waiting for Galaxy Nexus and didn’t get any concrete news regarding its Phil release date have also joined to “Note” club, including myself!

    • Like many other promos at their 1st launch, they’ll go with the lowest internal storage capacity which of course has a lower SRP to make that deal somewhat more attractive!

  38. Anyone been contacted by Smart yet? Just curious as to the redemption detail. -Thanks.

  39. i reserved a unit but now changed my mind…anyone wants my unit? reply nalang

    • Were you able to get your unit?
