Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy noted the alarming number of requests to these sites and assured that the company is willing to work with enforcement agencies to curb cybercrime, particularly OSAEC. Data from the network showed that Converge has increased their list of restricted sites by 150% (from about 100,000 URLs in 2021) and has already denied over 2.1 billion requests to these web addresses—a tenfold increase from 144 million requests in the same year. As part of Safer Internet Month (February), Converge is hosting a series of webinars to discuss how to create a safer online experience for children. Converge has further strengthened itself to be one of the country's leading fiber network providers by expanding its fiber footprint to roughly 600,000 kilometers based on its end-September report to the national Telecommunications Commission (NTC). Converge also reports that it had installed over 1.7 million fiber ports nationwide during the same period including augmenting existing coverage and expanding to new cities and municipalities. Last July, Converge was also awarded the Top-rated Fixed Network in Ookla's Speedtest Awards for the first half of 2022.
