菲律宾央行警告,在菲律宾银行发生服务中断后需追究责任

菲律宾中央银行(BSP)表示,正在审查近期影响菲律宾银行的金融服务中断事件,因为过去几天客户在访问该银行的数字渠道时遇到了问题。

 

据菲律宾中央银行(BSP)表示,其正与菲律宾商业银行(BPI)密切合作,评估此次事件、确保服务已恢复,并确定是否需要采取额外措施以防止未来发生类似中断。

监管机构还提醒银行,重大运营事件必须及时报告并立即处理,以最大限度地减少对客户的影响。菲律宾中央银行补充称,即使未收到受影响客户的正式投诉,其也可对此类事件展开调查。

作为审查的一部分,中央银行将检查菲律宾银行(BPI)在运营韧性、技术风险管理和可靠性方面的合规情况。该行表示,若发现缺陷,可能会采取适当的监管措施。

此次服务中断始于6月14日晚,当时许多BPI客户报告无法访问该银行的移动应用程序和网上银行平台。部分用户还遇到在使用BPI在线凭据登录第三方应用以及通过BPI借记卡和信用卡完成电子商务交易时出现问题。

BPI 随后承认了此次中断并着手恢复受影响的服务。该行表示,所有受影响的数字渠道已于周二全面恢复正常运营。

菲律宾中央银行尚未披露此次停摆的原因,也未说明在审查期间是否会实施任何处罚。

1) BPI REBUFFED a QR payment. So I paid the merchant in cash. Then they made the payment. I cannot prove to the merchant since BPI bank records only show “merchant paid” and amount, but no transaction number. My money is in BPI PURGATORY and I can’t get it back. Customer service always hung up the phone. I tried to email BPI but their email account regretted the mail since they had insufficient storage. Unresolved since June 4, Despite waiting 2+ hours at the Nami and getting no help
